 I have had horses all of my life had one riding lesson when I was 7yrs old and I was on my own from then on. My first horse was a 16yr old sorrel quarter horse mare named Ginger who was blind in 1 eye and was as fat as could be. She taught me everything a horse could teach a newbie kid. After graduating high school I attended Linn Benton Community College where I took Young Horse Training and Schooling The Horse. After that I worked on a cattle ranch in South Dakota working cattle and young horses. I moved back to Oregon and got back into my own horse business had a baby then attended LBCC once again taking Horse Science. Then I met Richard sold all of my stock and we moved to Oklahoma. I had another baby then we moved back to Oregon and together we have started the Bent Spur. Richard is new to the ranch life but is picking things up quick. All combined we have 3 kids ages 15mos-14yrs and they all love the animals and the outdoors just as much as we do. Honesty, integrity and customer care are our top priorities. We dont sell or misrepresent our livestock in any way. We hate more then anything to be lied to so we wont do that to anybody else. Safety is first and foremost for both human and animal.
